"Distance", produced by Cobhams Asuquo was recorded by Lawale, a singer/song-writer and guitarist who has been on the music scene for a while now. Having previously had tunes churned out by some of the finest producers in Nigeria, Lawale collabos Demmy (of"Tuale" fame)
“4 young men died at the hands of a lynch mob on the 5th of October 2012. Whether or not their deaths will mean anything, or fade out of our minds as just another meaningless tragedy, is up to us and what we do from here on. I hope this song captures that message. Nothing would be worse than for a death to mean nothing. Nothing.”
Willow Smith has posted a cute video of her taking on chart-topper Adele's theme song for new Bond movie 'Skyfall'.
The daughter of actors Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith made a name for herself in showbiz following the release of her hit single 'Whip My Hair' back in 2009. Now she's released a clip of herself singing Adele's dramatic ballad 'Skyfall', the song penned for the latest James Bond movie due for release on October 26th.
Willow appears to be playing the piano in the video, sporting a blue headscarf, white choker necklace and several ear piercings.
The precocious 11 year-old is famed for her outrageous dress sense as well as her singing abilities, shaving her head and dying her hair bright green in this year alone.
Since releasing 'Whip My Hair', Smith has put out a slew of other singles including '21st Century Girl' and 'I Am Me', and also collaborated with rapper Nicki Minaj on the track 'Fireball'. She was scheduled to release her debut album, Knees And Elbows, in April of this year but the LP's release was put back.
Adele's 'Skyfall' track shifted a staggering 48,000 copies in the first 48 hours after its release, yet failed to top the Official UK Singles Chart - it was surprisingly beaten to the Number One spot by Swedish House Mafia. [Source Yahoo]

I have listened to D'banj's interview by Freeze on cool FM. Very interesting stuff. He spoke about his Oliver Twist hit single, his meeting with Kanye West, the Iluminati claim, his relationship with Don Jazzy and Mohits. He answered all sorts of rumours....It's a must listen.

See what you make of Davido's collabo with his cousinnotoriously named Sina Rambo. It should be recalled that in the 80s, a notorious armed robber in Nigeria was named Sina Rambo.
The documentary "Fela Kuti Music is the Weapon" wit the Afrobeat legend, political revolutionary, musician, composer and performer, mixes footage of Fela Anikulapo Kuti performing at his Shrine nightclub, interviews with the controversial musician, glimpses of life at his not-so-palatial Kalakuta Republic compound, and scenes of Lagos street life. Some voice-over narration gives basic information on Kuti's musical career and Nigerian politics, but for the most part, the images are left to speak for themselves. Well shot in color, it's an important historical document capturing Kuti in stage and home environments that were most crucial to his life and work.

In just a year, British boy band One Direction (Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson) have become one of the biggest bands in the world, period. Their single 'That's What Makes You Beautiful' debuted at number one on the U.K. charts last year, and then the international takeover began. Their debut 'Up All Night' is the first album by a U.K. band to enter the U.S. charts at number one. In August, 1D had the honour of performing at the London Olympics closing ceremony.
